Order terms, damages and replacements.
We supply businesses, and the commercial terms of each order are agreed with you directly — in the quotation and on the invoice. This page is our standing position where an order does not say otherwise.
Terms are agreed per order
LÈVORE supplies to businesses. Quantities, pricing tiers, branding, lead times, payment terms and the handling of any shortfall are set out in the quotation and invoice for each order, and those documents govern. What follows is our standing position where an order does not say otherwise — not a retail returns policy, and not a substitute for the terms on your purchase order.
Damage or shortfall on delivery
Check the consignment on arrival and tell us within 48 hours, with photographs of the outer cartons and the affected boxes. We assess per box rather than per consignment — a few damaged boxes do not put the whole order in question. Where the fault is ours, we replace the affected boxes. We do not ask you to return damaged food.
Quality
If the chocolate arrives stale or not to the specification quoted, the same 48-hour window applies. Whether a replacement is issued, and in what quantity, is decided by us on the evidence.
Bloom is not a fault. A pale film or streaking on the surface is cocoa butter or sugar responding to temperature in transit or storage — it is cosmetic, the chocolate is unaffected, and it is not grounds for replacement. Chocolate is a temperature-sensitive product travelling through Indian conditions; store it as set out on the product pages and it will not appear.
Replacements
Our remedy is replacement. Where we approve one, we will confirm the dispatch date to you directly — timing depends on production load, and during festive season the schedule is committed weeks ahead, so we will not promise a date we cannot hold. Replacements are made to the original specification; where a format is out of production we offer the nearest equivalent. We do not issue refunds. Any exception is a matter for the terms on your invoice, not this page.
Cancellation
Once an order is confirmed it cannot be cancelled — branded or unbranded, bespoke or from the standing range. Confirmation commits production slots, materials and, on branded work, print runs that carry your mark and cannot be supplied to anyone else. Everything is made against your order rather than drawn from stock, which is why the commitment runs both ways.
Quantities, formats and artwork are worth settling before you confirm. We would rather spend the time at quotation stage than have the conversation afterwards.
Lead times and festive windows
Diwali production runs to three windows: fully bespoke builds close 26 September, branded lids on stock formats close 10 October, and unbranded boxes from the standing range run until stock ends. Orders confirmed after a window has closed are scheduled against the next available run, and we will say so before taking the order rather than after.
Delivery
We dispatch to the address on the purchase order. Where a courier cannot deliver because the address was wrong or no one was available to receive a consignment, we attempt redelivery once. A second attempt is chargeable at the original rate, as the chocolate will usually have travelled too long by then to be sent on to anyone else.
Who to speak to
